About the Administration Building
Built as a WPA project in 1936, the current Administration building was originally built to be the high school. After the elementary burned down, the building housed grades 1-12. The building of a new high school in 1964 (currently the middle school) left only grades 1-6 in the Administration building, allowing the first kindergarten programs to be organized. Later, the elementary school (now Primary school) was built, leaving the building as a middle school with grades 6-8. The construction of new school buildings over the years saw the middle school move out, leaving the building for adminstration and the LPN program, which is run through Gibson Technical Center.
